Comments:
Why not put up something obscure that nobody already has? This has been uploaded on several blogs, and it's crap anyway.

It may not be obscure but I haven't seen it lately. My good copy went away with my bad hard drive so I only have a 128 copy.

It's not crap. There are some great tracks on this set.

Thanks for the 256cbr copy of a nice set of tunes.

:)

No, it's not crap. It's just unfocused. the compilers should have had the courage to keep to the UK (there are zillions of tracks not here we could all suggest, of equal quality if not better than what made the cut). But they shot themselves in the foot. Because they could (and should) have followed this with a "European" nuggets box. Instead of that REALLY crap eighties nuggets thing.

who keeps deleting my FUCKING comments?

Why make a UK tracks only box???
What's wrong with a mix of different countries?
If you don't like it, leave it and download something else

it IS crap... the theme of the original US Nuggets was good one-hit wonders... this is just a random collection of BULLSHIT.... only 1/4 of the songs are decent, and most of them were not hits ANYWHERE. A little intelligence could have been applied to make this a really good set, but they blew it.

DOWNLOADERS? FRREELOADERS MORE LIKE IT!!! WHY NOT GO AND SPEND SOME MONEY AND SUPPORT THE LABELS, YOU FREAKS?

Hey, first anonymous, if you're not happy with what is on this blog, you don't take it and that's it !
What did you upload for others last year ? Nothing ? And you complain about a guy doing his best ? Go to hell !
The only thing to do is to thanx the guy doing the blog. He's the one working to rip, to upload and to give you the chance to download !
If you don't like the music, go elsewhere but shut your big mouth !

Oh, by the way, we are a lot to appreciate this "crap". If you don't, go listen Britney Spears and don't bother us !

Bon, ben, merci encore, BZH, et te laisse pas influencer par ces c*ns...

garage and psych music is CRAP - at least that Clannad band was top quality

It's ILLEGAL to post these things - why can't you dorks understand that?!

Thanks! Great set of tunes from todo el mundo. And more than a hint of Jimmy Page session work in the Brit selections. Excellent!!!!!!

yeah, this is awesome - fuck off all you naysayers who don't like cool 60s music!

what's wrong with Britney Spears??? I'll take her any time over some bunch of dirty hippys!

Great many thanks!!! It's Nuggets I posted too?

please re-up the Pebbles series - great site, thanks!

You're a real Dutch wanker, aren't you? There have been UK-only box sets (the Mojo collection, to name but one). Why make a US-only box? BECAUSE YOU CAN, dumb fuck! There are hundreds of great UK psych tracks.
I DO like this set, you stupid clog-wearing dyke-fingering soapy-cheese-eating windmill-living prick - in fact, I bought it when it came out, so I don't need to download it. Thanks for your enlightened commentary, you thick pasty-faced girls'-bicycle-riding twat.

I have loved everything in Nuggets II... and now I get a chance on Nuggets I!!! YAAAY!!! Thanks to you and Cosmos!

Hola:
Muchas gracias por la excelente música que he encontrado en tu blog, gracias por tu tiempo, esfuerzo y empeño.
Esteban de México.

A question : why, because you like a kind of music (say folk like Clannad, ie), do you feel obliged to hate other styles (garage or psych ie) ? And, even if you don't like (that's ok for me), why being rude with others ?
And why, like the asshole answering to fritsfromholland, do you write such things ? Why such hate ? Something wrong with daddy ? Or you're just a troll trying to show that he is somebody ?
Oh, for the guy who prefers Britney Spears vs "dirty hippies", what are you doing on this blog ? I never find Spears on it, but a lot of "hippies"... And punks, and people... But I stop there. You won't understand.

It's lucky that music has improved so much since this 60s rubbish!

THANK FOR COLLECTION, BUT
PLEASE COVER AND NAME OF ALL TRACKS

LINKS TOMORROW

Your work is superb. This music is fantastic. Many many thanks.

This is awesome, thank you very, very much....at the risk of being greedy, I've searched high and wide for Fading Yellow 1-4 and can't find them anywhere...a repost would be a beautiful thing...thank you so much for sharing all of this wonderful music!!

Thanks for the many wonderful albums you've uploaded. Especially the 60's stuff - I really appreciate your efforts.

GREAT stuff. To the idiots who complain about this posting - just shut the hell up and download what interests you instead of whining about material that you don't like? Is that really so hard?

Why tell him thanks for the 'great work'? Did he compile the CDs, did he paly in any of the bands, did he write the liners or do the artwork? No, all he does he does is take someone else's efforts and illegally upload them!

Do you need help with your erectile disfunction and you are looking for some shoulder to cry, or what? Man, why are you so cranky? Why are you here bitching so much if you don't download? I'm very thankful to this blog! Get far far away!

Don't let this anonymous guy upset you. It's only one guy, and his name is Joey D. from California. He loves to make waves, but don't let him bother you. Just ignore.

Yeah, my name is JOEY DRYFKA and you bootleggers make me SICK!!! I recently stopped the distribution of the new Pebbles #11 CD, cos they were treading on my turf...people listen to me, and I have clout!! YOU PEOPLE ARE CREEPS!

I have just started a music blog, not intending to compete, but to share, of course. To give back to the community. I'll be scavenging my dad's cds, my own, my downloads, and if I fare well, I'd even take from my dad's vynils and acetates. I uploaded already 5 cds just to see if it works. I'll improve the bitrate too and scan the covers too. But you keep sharing, kids, and get rid of those tiny-penised lurkers!

The blog is at majorbonobo.blogspot.com

I have taken the liberty to listen to some fine music which I happen to find here. There where some nice jewels within.
Thank you for the effort.
Greetings from The Lowlands...

Choco

Many thanks. I had only gotten a partial on this series in the past. I feel so complete.

Just ignore the little "no-name" pissants whinings. Wish we had a "deleter" button.

Bless

Trustar

Whew!!!! I dl'ed the first disc but it has a password. Could you help?

Sorry, when I grow up, I'll get brains.

Could you upload The Bee Gees' records "Rare, Precious & Beautiful Vol.1, Vol.2 & Vol. 3"?

Thanks and congratulations for this awesome blog.

Juan

hello -

I seem to be having trouble unpacking all the files - it gets to "no. 3" and a message comes - "unexpected end of file" or some such...

can anyone help me here - arbg20@hotmail.com

some advice: ignore the troll who thinks Nuggets II is "garbage"

It worked fine for me. You had the same problem elsewhere. I think you compromise your files integrity when you download, probably due to connection unstability...

thank you for the post. But all the nuggets2 downloads had corrupted mp3 archives.

"DOWNLOADERS? FRREELOADERS MORE LIKE IT!!! WHY NOT GO AND SPEND SOME MONEY AND SUPPORT THE LABELS, YOU FREAKS?"

...First of All, this is made by Rhino, and Universal. Huge. THey've Got Money. Secondly they DIDN'T EVEN BOTHER to look up or contact or give any money to, or even ask permission from most of the artists on this comp and alot of them are still performing and in the music business. shamefull.
i know a few people who's music was used/sold on this comp, who weren't asked/contacted at all...how about some support for them?

i would normally agree with you though, about supporting the labels, even if they're boots...

this box set was intended to make money repackaging stuff for trendy indie kids, mojo readers and "hip-sell" types who'd never heard of any of the earlier comp lp's like rubble/pebbles/ etc. it's obvious as the selection was way weird and most of it's been compiled released on cd a million other places.

Rhino is owned by WEA (Warner Elektra Atlantic) not Universal. And they did work with some of the bands. Also, the songwriters get paid royalties.

This box is OOP so you can't buy it even if you wanted to...

Hi bzh. Thank you so much for posting this CD set, 'cuz I love all these songs!

However, there's just one little problem: The song "In the Land of the Few" by Love Sculpture from Disc 2 is unfortunately cut short by almost 3 minutes. Any chance you could fix this? If you can, I'd be so very grateful. Thanks so much!

It's not crap, but it's not on a par with the original "Nuggets" either. There, you had a lot of variety, wonderfully oddball tunes like "Spazz" and "Little Black Egg" mixed in with big hits by groups like The Kingsmen and The Outsiders, along with melodic treats like The Merry-Go-Round's "Live". Then there were the hard-rocking garage/blues/fuzz tunes we all love so much, but it wasn't all garage/blues/fuzz, which made Nuggets 1 such an interesting compilation. Hard to believe that 85% of what was going on in England at the same time was garage/blues/fuzz, often of a much duller variety than the American. The compilers of Nuggets 2 either had very limited imaginations, tastes, or resources, or all three.. There are some real gems on this compilation, like "Midsummer Night's Scene" by John's Children and The Fleur-de-Lys exquisite cover (improvement?) of the early Who classic "Circles". But listening to any one of these CD's in its entirety gives me a headache from the monotonous, unimaginative reiteration of the fuzz/blues thing, ad nauseum.. And why did they need to include other countries besides the U.K.? It's not like England was short on groups or anything. There was this little thing called the "British Invasion"...

It's ILLEGAL to post these things - why can't you dorks understand that?!

Lol. Just lol.

The compilers of Nuggets II did a REALLY poor job.. it's billed as a 1964-69 compilation, but the track by We All Together (one of the better tracks here) is actually from 1973. And most of the music is, well, useless or just stuff that copies other groups' sounds to the point of monotony. I deleted about 3/4 of the songs and made a decent compilation of my own from the better tracks.

Thankyou very much for making my day so much more groovier :)

Hello...I'm brazilian and I'm very pleased to know this 'chocoreve'...here in Brazil have a lot of fantastic psychedelic sound...if you want...Ivan47londres@hotmail.com
