I don't get it. I'm already a premium user, never used the rs.de, so I don't understand what it is I have to join, and why the premium links on your older shares work but not the new ones.

I read your instructions and had already joined the new .com. However, I received a form letter from them advising that they are in no way affiliated with .de.
Therefore, we are still unable to upload to .de - only to .com. We will not get any more points in our existing .de accounts for new uploads to the new server.
Hope this isn't clear as mud, but your instructions are only for joining a new server, not adding to the old server.
This means that instead of accumulating points into our existing accounts, we will rarely collect enough to add additional time to the existing accounts as all the new uploads will be on an entirely different server which is no longer rapidshare.de.
In effect what has happened is that now you have two different companies dealing with your uploads.
What needs to happen is for .de to get their act together and get their drives working again.

Here is a copy of the form letter sent to me from rapidshare.com:

Something I forgot to mention in that lengthy diatribe above is that we will now have to pay for two sites, instead of just one - unless we take everything off the original and upload them to the new site and change every posting we have made.
I have over 960 uploads on the original server - none of which have been deleted from those awful gremlins who won't let us have any peace. The reason is that I have protected my rapidshare links through other servers.
I haven't tested the theory yet, but I'm sure that the .com won't be covered by these protective servers, which will mean a lot of
re-doing.
Personally, I have a very small computer and do not keep this stuff once it has been uploaded to rapidshare.
Keeping that in mind, if I use the new server, my job will be to re-download over 960 selections, and then re-upload them to the new .com.
My blog has over 200 selections in it since the beginning of July, and all of those would have to be downloaded again and re-uploaded because new people everyday are finding me.
This is just a travesty, and I am absolutely traumatized by the fact that nobody has caught on that we would now have to pay for two servers instead of just the original, and there are no guarantees that the new server will be any more secure against those "complainers" from being deleted.
Sorry for taking up so much of your time, but I felt there had not been enough information provided for these people who think they are switching over, but in effect are joining something entirely new.

I think you're wrong, at this time I don't have to pay RS.com anything, my 385369 Premium-Points are still valid in the new site.

Christian Schmid is the owner of both Rapidshare.de and rapidshare.com. Rapidshare.de is registered in Germany while Rapidshare.com is registered next door in Switzerland.
 

Yes it's truth - way from Rapidshare.DE to Rapidshare.COM is oneway road....It's means that valid is your DE account in COM...

It took paypal 2 weeks to figure out why I couldn't renew my rapidshare.de account and then I just got a rapidshare.com account since paypal had to walk me through the workaround and I wasn't thinking. Now my rapidshare.com account doesn't work on rapidshare.de. They bounce all your emails unless you pay them then they refuse to answer any of your emails after you pay them.
 

THAT(!) is a BIG help! I'd just signed up for the .de, and was feeling kinda crappy about finding everyone was using the .com site now.
