Aksak Maboul - Onze Danses pour Combattre la Migraine

Aksak Maboul (originally spelt Aqsak Maboul) were a Belgian avant-garde rock band founded in 1977 by Marc Hollander and Vincent Kenis. They made two studio albums, Onze Danses Pour Combattre la Migraine (1977) and Un Peu de L'Ame des Bandits (1979), the last one with ex-Henry Cow members Chris Cutler and Fred Frith. They were also active in the Rock in Opposition movement.
Aksak Maboul began in 1977 as Marc Hollander (keyboards), Vincent Kenis (accordion, guitar, bass guitar), Marc Moulin (keyboards) and Chris Joris (percussion, keyboards). With this line-up, plus guests Frank Wuyts (percussion, keyboards), Catherine Jauniaux (voice), Denis van Hecke (cello), Michel Berckmans of Univers Zéro (bassoon, oboe) and others, they recorded their first album, Onze Danses Pour Combattre la Migraine (French for "Eleven Dances to Fight a Migraine").
Onze Danses Pour Combattre la Migraine is a playful mix of musical forms, cultures and genres. With primitive drum machines and looping organ lines, it shuffles between improvised jazz, ethnic music, electronics and classical music. It was largely an instrumental album with snatches of singing and voices.

Zen Archer we all appreciate your work and especially the Led Zep shows.

merci pour ces bons conseils à l'intention du petit Nicolas, candidat à la Présidence en France en 2006 ...

Great album!
However the tracks and tracklisting are a bit messed up.
Actually, Chanter Est Sain + Son Of L'Idiot appears twice. They are in the last part of track 3 and by them selfes in track 4. So track 4 can be excluded.
Three Epileptic Folk Dances is split in two parts making up tracks 8 and 9.

I believe a correct tracklist should be like this:

1 Mercredi Matin + Saure Gurke
2 Animeaux Velpeau
3 Milano Per Caso + Fausto Coppi Arrive! + Chanter Est Sain + Son Of L'Idiot
4 Chanter Est Sain + Son Of L'Idiot
5 DBB (Double Bind Baby) + Cuic Steppe
6 Ciobane + The Mooche
7 Vapona, Not Glue + Glympz
8 Three Epileptic Folk Dances (part 1)
9 Three Epileptic Folk Dances (part 2)
10 Mastoul Alakefak + Comme On A Dit

Sorry, but my corrected tracklist is probably wrong. The original is wrong, too, but I can´t figure out the correct one. Seems like something is missing. Can´t make the total time add up properly. Should be c. 50:15, but (with track 4 excluded) it is c. 47:50. Seems to be about 2,5 minutes missing. I give up!

you should re-up this, man!
f_*@!# the complaints!

It´s interesting, strange, as a real prog album may be, but it also proves that, sometimes, vanguardist prog and Rio falls into childish: some tracks are fool plays with fool ideas. ( well, this is only an opinion...)
